Mountain Mellow was founded in January 2018, three people who have been invested in the Cannabis industry for many years now, finally decided it was going to be our future. All agreed, coming from smaller towns, it was key for us to keep that vibe, with the Rocky Mountains being a massive part of our lives, these two aspects absolutely had to be a part of our story. From this, Mountain Mellow was born.
The founders of Mountain Mellow are, Ryan M. Cederstrand, Duane T. Bannister, and Kyle N. Turner. All have sales backgrounds, Kyle having opened and run a retail store in Red Deer, Alberta for many years in the Snow & Skate Industry, MM being a return to his roots. Snowboarding has been a huge part of Duane’s life, still riding 50 days a year (almost his age). Ryan is a pilsner drinking, watermelon wearing Roughies fan, Sask transplant, who can be found hiking, camping, and horseback riding throughout the year.
Our goal is to create an experience when you visit a Mountain Mellow location, we want you to not just look forward to coming back, but be excited about your next visit. Our past retail customers became family, they would come in, bring a coffee, and we would connect, if they were getting married, we knew, baby, we knew, graduating, we knew. This is the experience we are going to provide, you are family when you walk through the Mountain Mellow doors. All locations will have a comfortable seating area, come in, sit down, mellow out, enjoy your coffee, stay awhile, you’re family now!
