Thailand, the Land of Smiles. Come for the beaches, stay for the…chocolate? Chocolate Thai is a classic landrace from Thailand that started showing up in North America back in the ’60’s. Old school stoners may remember “Thai sticks” when spindly flowers were tied to bamboo sticks. Buds were mocha in color and smell and were completely potent. Low yields and long flowering cycles with male flowers made this sativa a real challenge to breed. Nowadays, several lines are sold as Chocolate Thai, but most are crossbreeds with unknown genetics.
